On the first day of August 2026, Gela will once again become the center of the Rhodope musical tradition. The Ilinden meadows will host one of the most authentic cultural experiences in the mountains – The gaidarist's playing. An event that pulsates in the hearts of all who are fortunate enough to experience it.

When the mountain sounds

Imagine... among the green meadows of the Rhodope Mountains, under the open sky, dozens of bagpipers play together.
A sound that comes from afar and remains long afterwards – like a memory that does not fade.

The event brings together musicians from all over Bulgaria, and often from abroad. Some are virtuosos with decades of experience, others are young talents who carry the legacy forward. All come with one goal: to share, to play together, and to convey something greater than all of us.

Gela becomes a scene

This weekend Hotel Gela becomes the heart of the celebration. From Thursday to Sunday, our yard will be buzzing with life, music, and shared emotions.
