A new beginning in a historic setting

Located in the heart of old Sofia, near the Women's Market, DOT Sofia is a bold architectural project that combines a boutique hotel, an art gallery and a top-class restaurant. Behind the corten steel facade, a place is revealed where cultures, eras and perceptions intertwine in a dynamic urban experience.

Unique architecture with meaning

DOT Sofia is not just visually impressive – it tells stories. With its integral design – from the facade to the last detail in the rooms – the building has been awarded the Best Concept Hotel, Best Sustainable Building and the Architectural Guild Grand Prize for 2023. This is the first Bulgarian hotel included in the Mr & Mrs Smith selection.

The hotel's own art collection includes works by iconic Bulgarian artists such as Nedko Solakov, Pravdolyub Ivanov, Lachezar Boyadzhiev, Rudi Ninov, and others. This is the first Bulgarian hotel with a permanent art director who curates the integration of art in every corner of the building.

KOMAT is not just a restaurant – it is a culinary project that combines urban minimalism with respect for tradition. Located at the base of DOT Sofia, the restaurant carries the idea of exploration, locality and elegance.

The menu at KOMAT is built around fresh farm-fresh produce and seasonal choices, with an emphasis on comfort and authenticity. The lounge is stylishly minimalist, leaving the focus on the food – a visual and taste experience that lingers long after the last bite.

The walk to the restaurant passes through the hotel's inner garden - a quiet green area that prepares the guest for an experience of taste, comfort and tranquility. This is not just a restaurant - this is the place where taste is a personal story.

If you are not in Sofia for work – in this case DOT Sofia offers not only top conditions, but also creative inspiration – the hotel is a starting point for interesting routes. Very close to it is the so-called “Quadrangle of Tolerance” – a remarkable part of the city, in which operating temples of different religions coexist side by side – a Christian cathedral, a Muslim mosque and one of the largest synagogues in Europe.

In fact, Sofia is a great choice for city walkers, because its central part is not large. In a few hours you could tour the neighboring DOT Sofia kvARTal, reach the “Doctor's Garden” or the National Palace of Culture. The three directions cover the ancient history of the city, significant cultural spaces in the Viennese style (city galleries, theaters, opera, ballet and philharmonic), impressive buildings from the socialist era, as well as many restaurants, cafeterias, bars and clubs, and shopping areas.
